Participants must be age 5+.  All children 17 and under must be registered with an adult.

Important Zoo School Registration Notes

All Zoo School participants and their families must enter through the Main Entrance of the zoo. Upon entering, families will need to show a Roger Williams Park Zoo membership, a reciprocal membership or pay admission for anyone in the party not attending a Zoo School class.

Be sure you have chosen the correct age group and class time for your child.  Please click carefully as space is limited. Refunds, minus a $15.00 processing fee per child, will be given up to 2 weeks before the start of your program. Absolutely no refunds will be made after this date.

There is a one-time registration fee for all class dates. We will not prorate for missed classes.

A minimum number of registrants is required to run a class. Families will be notified 48 hours in advance and be issued a full refund if a class needs to be cancelled due to low enrollment.

Welcome to Roger Williams Park Zoo!

 Guests should choose a specific day and specific time slot, as visit capacity is limited.  The time slot is your arrival window (ex: if you choose 1 PM, you must arrive between 1 – 2 PM).  Once on grounds you may stay as long as you’d like during operating hours. 

Member Ticketing: Current Roger Williams Park Zoo members no longer need to reserve a timed ticket in advance - just show your digital membership card and a photo ID at any ticket booth for entry on the day of your visit. 

Save now! Group discounts available: Groups with 10 or more paying guests SAVE!  You'll save $2 on each ticket type.  This discount will apply automatically when 10 or more paid tickets are added to your cart. 

Special circumstances:

• If you have a military discount or are looking to save with a reciprocal membership, please do not use this form and instead click here for directions on using the discount.   

Additional General Admission ticket information:

• All purchases are final, so please choose carefully - orders are not eligible for refunds, reschedules, and/or rainchecks. 
  
• Discounts including military and reciprocal discounts must be purchased in-person. Group and library discounts are available online. 
  
• Last admission into the zoo is at 3:30 PM. If you are reserving tickets for the 2 PM timeslot, please plan to arrive as close to 2 PM as possible to ensure you can see the entire zoo (an average visit is 1.5 hours and some exhibits close at 3:30 PM, with the entire zoo closing at 4 PM).
  
• A small non-refundable service fee is automatically charged to each order.
• Our zoo will proudly receive guests regardless of the forecast, so we encourage you to dress accordingly and have fun! 

A Note About Parking: We offer complimentary parking across 4 large lots. All parking is on a first-come, first-served basis.  Please note that lots can fill quickly on busy days and ticket purchases do not guarantee lot availability.  To avoid parking setbacks, you may want to consider ride share services or bussing on high-volume days.

Important Snore and Roar Information

Deposit/Registration Information

This purchase of $300 is a non-refundable deposit and is required to secure a spot for the Snore and Roar Overnight program. This deposit will be applied to your final payment.

ADDITIONAL STEPS REQUIRED AFTER YOUR PURCHASE.

After your purchase, you will receive an email with important information concerning the next steps in the registration process.

Pricing

• Standard Overnight: $75 per person
• Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular: $90 per person

You will be contacted by the Education Programs Registrar for your final payment details two weeks prior to your event. Full payment and necessary forms in Sign-Up Genius must be received at least 2 weeks prior to the event.

Age and Chaperone Requirements

Participants must be at least 7 years of age and one chaperone over the age of 18 is required for every 4 participants under the age of 14.

Cancellations/Refunds

If the event is cancelled by Roger Williams Park Zoo in case of inclement weather, a full refund will be issued. If the event is cancelled by your organization or because the necessary requirements are not met, the cancellation policy is as follows:

• More than 4 weeks' notice: All but your $300 deposit will be refunded.
• 2-4 weeks' notice: You will be billed for 50% of a minimum payment.
• 1-2 weeks' notice: 25% of your final payment will be refunded.
• Less than 7 days' notice: No refund will be issued.

Requests to transfer the date of your event are subject to availability. Transfer requests must be made at least 4 weeks prior to your scheduled visit to be considered.

Important Wild Connection Information

Minimum Age Requirement

Each Wild Connection experience has a minimum required age to register. There will be no refunds for registrations that are made for guests that do not meet this requirement.

• Aldabra Wild Connection: 5-years-old
• Elephant Wild Connection: 12-years-old
• Giant Otter Wild Connection: 5-years-old
• Sloth Wild Connections: 5-years-old

*Please note that all children 17 and under need to be accompanied by a paid adult during the encounter. *

Cancellations/Refunds

• Roger Williams Park Zoo reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or substitute any Wild Connection experience for reasons including but not limited to: Inclement/Severe Weather, Animal Health/Welfare, or if a specific experience has less than 2 registered participants.
• All registrations are final. No refunds will be given unless this event is cancelled by the Zoo.

Accessibility: 

While all public areas of the Zoo are wheelchair accessible, most behind-the-scenes areas are not. Please contact programs@rwpzoo.org or (401) 785-3510 x 358 if you have any concerns about accessibility.  

Education Mask Policy:

Masks are required and provided for all participants (children and adults) only while visiting our Otter holding area. This policy is subject to change.
